Qué es

Sobre esta capacidad técnica

UVI printing uses inks cured instantly by ultraviolet light. Unlike conventional printing, where the ink dries by evaporation, UVI polymerises as it passes under the lamp, anchoring chemically to the substrate. The result is a layer with superior anchoring and mechanical and chemical resistance far above that of conventional inks.

In industrial identification it is the reference technique when colour is needed (multicolour corporate logos, instrumentation scales, colour-coded regulatory warnings) with real durability in demanding environments: machinery, motorsport, automotive, infrastructure.

AMBAR ITC works with UVI both in standard format (on anodised plate or plastic) and in its distinctive photo-anodised UVI variant, where the UVI ink is applied to open anodised aluminium and becomes partially integrated into the anodic layer before sealing, gaining additional durability.

Características

Características diferenciales

Lo que distingue a esta técnica frente a alternativas convencionales.

  • UV-curable ink with chemical anchoring to the substrate
  • Resistance to UV, hydrocarbons and abrasion
  • Full-coverage multicolour finish
  • Photo-anodised UVI variant for extreme environments
Aplicaciones

Sobre qué materiales y productos se aplica

On aluminium (natural and anodised) and engineering plastics (polyester, polycarbonate, two-layer ABS), UVI offers multicolour coverage with good anchoring. It is the basis for technical plates, control panels, overlays and corporate logos.

The photo-anodised UVI variant is applied to unsealed anodised aluminium and becomes partially integrated into the anodic layer on sealing, gaining additional durability for multicolour plates used outdoors or in especially aggressive environments.

Procesos

Cómo lo trabajamos

Pasos típicos del flujo productivo. Sin cifras cerradas: cada proyecto se ajusta a especificación.

  1. Substrate receipt

Aluminium or engineering plastic per specification. Incoming inspection and finish validation.

  2. Preparation and cleaning

Conditioning of the substrate to ensure correct anchoring of the UVI ink.

  3. UVI printing

Application of UV-curable ink with multicolour coverage as per the artwork approved by the client.

  4. UV curing

Instant polymerisation under a UV lamp. The ink becomes chemically anchored to the substrate.

  5. Additional sealing (photo-anodised UVI variant)

In the photo-anodised variant, sealing in our own bath to integrate the ink within the aluminium's anodic layer.

  6. Colour and finish inspection

Control of colour, coverage and abrasion resistance before moving to packaging.

Rangos

Rangos y limitaciones típicas

Trabajamos rangos habituales del sector industrial. Casos singulares se evalúan bajo consulta.

We work with the formats common in the industrial sector. The colour range is matched to Pantone, RAL or other systems as per the client's specification, with a prior validation proof for cases where colour is critical.

The photo-anodised UVI variant is limited to unsealed anodised aluminium as a substrate. For very specific colours or extreme chemical-resistance requirements, it is assessed on request.
